The four upright columns support plastic panels, which form a reservoir capable of holding 3.75 quarts of mixed seed. Gaps on the base of each panel allow seed to exit onto the platform for birds to enjoy, and this area also provides plenty of resting spots for the birds. A hipped, copper roof covers this reservoir, the symmetrical sides mimicking that of the body, and its verdigris finish contrasts the white tone of the PVC frame. A cast iron finial adds height and drama to the feeder, and the roof may be removed for refilling and cleaning the item. Holes on the base platform allow any water to drain from seed, and the attached mounting collar slides over an existing 4 x 4 post for a quick and lasting display.
