The hardy, steel plate and included screws make it simple to attach this adapter to a bird house or feeder, while its black, powder coated finish protects the unit from the elements. The generous adapter attaches to items with a 6″ by 4″ or larger base, and a hole through the center of it allows it to slide onto a 1″ outer diameter pole with ease. A large thumbscrew on the 2″ long flange keeps the adapter in place on your pole, and loosens for quick removal of the feeder for maintenance. The black color of the piece meshes with most garden poles, while its all steel construction remains durable.
