Its wood shingled roof complements the color scheme of the house, creating the aesthetic of life on the docks, and in its center is affixed a black metal wire loop for simple hanging. Round imitation windows adorn both sides of the home and their circular trim are painted white with red stripes to resemble life preservers. The front contains a yellow painted imitation double door and a 1.25″ diameter bird entrance sitting above the doors and beneath the home’s gabled roof. Dual bird figures above the double door and an engraved ship anchor ornament the pinnacle of the gable. The backside of the structure has two miniature, crossed brown oars resting just above a 3.75″ x 3.5″ panel which removes for routine cleaning. A mesh ladder scales the inside of the front wall up to the entrance for easier access for nestlings. A hole sits in the center of the base for proper drainage of accumulated moisture, and gaps between the sidewalls and the roof make for adequate ventilation of the space, creating a comfortable roost for local birds to enjoy.
