This spring operated, weight sensitive perch can be adjusted to accommodate light, medium, or heavy avians, and a metal shield covers the feeding ports when the weight limit has been exceeded. The sloped floor of the reservoir keeps seed moving toward the access ports, reducing waste, and the significant metal roof covers the unit fully. A tab at the back of the roof locks it in an upward position for refilling, and keeps it closed to further deter squirrels.
