Adjustable springs on each side of the feeder may be set to accommodate birds up to 2 ounces, from 2 to 4 ounces, or for animals 4 ounces or larger. When an animal heavier than the set weight lands on the perch, it pulls the metal cover over the seed openings to protect the feed. Plastic windows above the ports keep seed levels visible, and the raised baffle in the center of the reservoir keeps it moving to the openings, preventing mold. The top-lock design easily holds the roof open for thorough cleaning or simple refilling, while the red color attracts attention.
