The 1.5″ fencing creates perching for a bevy of small songbirds while preventing squirrels and larger birds from feeding. The feeder tube is made of durable polycarbonate plastic that is perfect for 1 quart of sunflower seed or mixed seed, and the six reinforced feeder ports each have individual perches. The flow-through base prevents seed from collecting, so that squirrels are not enticed to cling and feed. The large metal roof and cap help to prevent squirrel damage and serve to keep seed dry and fresh, while the ingenious lock keeps squirrels from lifting the cap.
